Yummii & Sooty - 2 August 2008
Warning, this post contains some funky non traditional edgy wedding images!
The second tea ceremony is at sooty's place.
sooty is waiting for yummii to arrive at Bradley's Head.
Yummii walking down towards the ceremony. It was cold and windy, but what a stunning location.
yummii was getting emotional during the ceremony.
After the ceremony we took everyone on a water taxi to a stunning location. Yummii, sooty and the bridal party got into it, having fun and making our job way too easy.

To see what went on at the reception check out this slidehow of a photobooth we set up.Labels: Wedding

Sarita & Alex - 5 July 2008
Sarita & Alex live in the US. Sarita is grew up in Sydney, & then met Alex who is French in the US. They decided to come home to Australia to get married.
They had a day time wedding, which is perfect for July, after church at St James church in Turramurra, we headed to Lavender Bay for photos. Their reception was held at the Watersedge Restaurant, which has the most amazing views of Sydney Harbour. We then had time for a few photos after the ceremony at Henson Park, under the Bridge.
We were working with Dave from D'nM Video Productions which as always was lost of fun. Check out his trailer & highlights show.

Lucy's maternity session
This is the lady who is behind our logo which we love so much.... Lucy is our graphic designer. She manages her business Pure Graphics full time as well as being mum to 3 gorgeous kids... Hudson & Harlow loved her bump & were so excited that they would soon have a new baby in their home.

If you have been to our studio you would have seen this one on our gallery wall....

Brigitte & Adrian - 4 July 2008
We are finally getting caught up on blogging our winter weddings, just before our busy spring wedding season starts.
Brigitte & Adrian we married at St Phillips at Turramurra, it was nice to have the bride & groom getting ready 5 minutes from our home & the church was also local. After the church we headed to Observatory Hill for photos. Because it was winter, the sun set very quickly & we ended up having to do a lot of photos in the dark...... we always love a good challenge :) We were lucky that we had a our friend Steve from ST photography in Brisbane who was helping us out for the day. Steve managed to be able to hold an off camera flash & video light for us at the same time.....
We then headed to the QVB building as their reception was help in the Tearooms there.
Boys getting ready

Love this photo of Brigitte & her brother checking if their teeth are clean

This the start of the location shoot, & it was already very dark
By now it was totally dark.....

Jodie & Peter - 22 June 2008
Our most popular venue this year has definitely been Gunners Barracks, but we can totally understand why as it is such a gorgeous location for both a ceremony & reception. 2 weddings in one weekend there was a first for us! The thing that we love about Gunners Barracks, besides the very friendly staff & yummy food :) is that there are so many places to shoot there. You would never know that these both these weddings had been shot in the same venue. And as always Chris & I always love to find something different to shoot.
Jodie and Peter were able to organize their wedding in a matter of weeks, with the fabulous organizational skills of Jodie's sister. Every minute of the day was scheduled, and she was teased a bit all day by everyone. It made it into a day that ran very smoothly & where everyone was able to enjoy themselves without worrying about the time (she was able to do that for all of us!).
We started with the prep at Jodie's home, Chris cannot resist putting himself in a photo:)
I loved Jodie's shawl which was perfect for a cold June day
Arriving at Gunners Barracks

The bridal party was loads of fun

Jodie's veil suited her dress perfectly, & gave the wedding a real vintage feel.

Nadia & Peter - 31 May 2008
Nadia & Peter's wedding was always going to be a big one as they had two big church ceremonies. First a catholic mass followed by the location shoot and then a Greek Orthodox ceremony.
They are both very outgoing and relaxed so the day went by really quickly and there was never a dull moment.
Nadia and Peter are both really into photography so they were happy to go along with anything we sugested in terms of photos and so we got some pretty cool location photos, as well a lots of nice candids in between.
Nadia had a little admirer while she was getting ready.

The girls are about to head into the church.
After the Catholic Ceremony we headed off to the location to get some photos of the bridal party.

We had plenty of time so we stopped by a pub. While the bridal party chilled out and had some drinks we found some nice spots for some photos.

The second ceremony was at the St Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church in Kingsford.
Someone snuck a camera in front of me during the signing of the register.
The reception was at Doltone House Sylvania.

After the Ceremony we headed to Circular Quay to get some nice images of Melissa & Chris together.

The reception was held at the stylish Catalina Restaurant by the waters edge in Rose Bay.
